Who Are We?

We are a family-run business who loves to collect, sell and trade Pokemon cards. Hatsuocollectz was started by 2 cousins (David Lonh & Sunny Chim ) who always had a passion for collecting since childhood. During the late 2024 Pokemon virality, the idea of starting a pokemon business sparked. We started going to our local card shows, experiencing what the hobby is like, and being even more motivated to start hatsuocollectz.

Our Journey

We took our first steps of starting our business by selling on the live auction platform, Whatnot. On Sunday the 20th of April, we went live for the first time, selling a single pack to one of our friends. Over time we slowly grew in followers and constantly reinvested our profits back into the streams. For the next few months we were on the grind. Buying product, selling, getting money, and putting it all back into the streams. Over this period of time, we bought extra sealed stock as we had the idea of creating a website where we would be able to sell Pokemon cards for cheaper due to less fees, offering our customers a better deal on products, while expanding to multiple platforms.

Today

We have recently created our own website where people can purchase Pokemon TCG products to be ripped live or sent sealed. We continue to stream consistently every week on Whatnot although only making slow progress. Right now we are determined and committed to trying our hardest in growing our audience, making customers smile, and expanding our small business.

Goals For the Future

As of right now, we still have many goals for our small business. We want to begin streaming on TikTok Live and Twitch, to grow our following. We are also going to be vending at card shows in Melbourne starting from November (hopefully), which will help us get to know everyone more! We eventually want to grow our Whatnot streams even more so we can run streams that are more big, fun, and entertaining for everyone!
